Charlton Chime is an exceptionally talented young horse with a first class temperament. While she was born to be a very successful eventer, she also has the ability to be a successful show jumper, show hunter, dressage or show horse.
Charlton Chime is super classy on the flat and over a fence. In her first dressage day at Taupo and won a test on 70%, she has since gone on to win in Whangarei too. At her first ever show jumping training day at St Peters, she won the style prize in the 80cm class. Chime is now been out SJ in classes up to 1m. This is a sure sign of things to come for this talented young mare.
One of the stand out qualities of Charlton Chime is her amazing temperament. She is so trainable, really enjoyable to ride, takes everything in her stride and feels like she’s done it all before.
Breeding wise, on her dam’s side, Charlton Chime is closely related to Joe Meyers “Snip”, who represented NZ in eventing at the 2008 Olympics. She is by the grand prix show jumping stallion Charlton Javelin, who has sired a number of successful eventers and jumpers.
Charlton Chime has started cross country schooling, and no surprises, is excelling at it. There are a couple of pre-training events coming up in the eventing calendar that we are looking forward to take her to.
